Basaltina

Basalt, quarried in Italy. A hard wearing volcanic stone used by the ancient Romans to build the roads and monuments of their empire. Cool grey in colour, fine-grained, and characterized by small holes in the stone structure due to rapid cooling of lava on the surface of the planet. It’s unique grey tone as well as its durability have made this stone a popular choice in contemporary designs in both interior and exterior applications.
