A classic granite from Sardinia, Italy. Used extensively over the years in many commercial and domestic applications from Kitchen tops, to stairs, tiles and more, in both interior and exterior applications. Bianco Sardo has a uniform grain structure made-up of white, grey and black crystals. This colour combination has made this stone popular once again in the use of contemporary designs. This stone has good availability with large slab sizes. High range hardness and stain resistance.

Whilst classified as a Granite in the industry this stone is a type of Schist, one of the so called “new” Granites that have been extracted in recent years.
An extra dimension has been added to this block as it has a unique “leather finish”. Instead of grinding the stone to a smooth polished finish, a diamond tipped brushing tool is used over the surface which leaves a matt, textured leather like finish. Effectively used as feature wall panels, splashbacks, Entertainment units and other furniture or even in conjunction with the same stone in polished finish to provide contrasting effects.

Thunder White
Thunder White is a highly sort after granite quarried in India. This granite is renowned for its white to cool grey background which is reminiscent of Carrara Marble. This light background is combined with sharply defined thin veins of grey, which generally run horizontally across the slab, or sometimes diagonally across the slab, or even in a wave like motion. This granite also contains garnet coloured flecks scattered randomly throughout. Thunder White Granite is one of few light coloured granites that has the look and feel of an Italian marble but with the added benefit of durability that granites offer. Slabs are often bookmatch polished which is very effective Kitchen Island benches, splashback and wall panels. Thunder White Granite has proven to be very popular in recent times and availability of good quality blocks for slabbing is scarce.
